-Western State wraps up the nonconference schedule Saturday with Montana, the two-time defending national runner-up in the Division I Football Championship Subdivision.
-The Mountaineers held Montana, last season’s second-highest scoring offense in Division I FCS, to 10 first-half points last season and Blake Krenke closed the half by blocking a 52-yard field goal.
-Curtis Prock led the RMAC with 10 receptions during the opening weekend. Prock took a medical redshirt last season.
-Shaun Suttorp needs 11 receptions this weekend to tie the career program record of 181 set by Tyrone Johnson from 1990-93.

-The Mountaineers start the 2010 season this weekend at the BritKare Lady Buff Classic hosted by West Texas A&M. Western state faces four schools out of the Lone Star Conference Friday and Saturday.
-Head Coach Katie Moskowitz returns five starters plus libero Madison Dempsey and were picked fourth in the RMAC West Division preseason poll.
-Lindsay Huson hit .303 at the Abilene Christian tournament a season ago and led the team with 38 points.
