GUNNISON, Colo. – Western State head men’s basketball coach Mike Moskowitz has announced an agreement with Division I Wyoming to move the Mountaineer’s regular season contest against the Cowboys up two weeks to Dec. 17. The game will tip off at 7 p.m. from the Arena-Auditorium in Laramie, Wyo.
The game finalizes a weekend that has been in constant shift for Western State. The Mountaineers were originally scheduled to play the final conference games of the 2010 calendar year Dec. 17 and 18 against Adams State and Fort Lewis, respectively. The games were eventually moved to the following Sunday and Monday due to commencement conflicts with facilities at Adams State and Fort Lewis.
Wyoming finished eighth in the Mountain West Conference last season. The Cowboys were third in the MWC in blocked shots and fourth in scoring.
Western State led the RMAC West Division last season in offensive rebounds and second in the division for field goal percentage defense. The Mountaineers return two starters from last season in Alex Hart and All-RMAC student-athlete Weylan Towns.
