Mountaineers Wrap Up Preseason Practices

GUNNISON, Colo. – Mountaineer fans got their final look at the Western State football team this morning before the regular season next week when the Mountaineers hosted the Lawn Chair Scrimmage.
Approximately 200 fans watched the Mountaineers go through a number of series, including special teams, with a variety of athletes and combination matchups.
The Western State coaching staff begins game week preparations tomorrow before the first “game week” practice Monday on the first day of classes. The Mountaineers open the regular season one week from tonight at Fort Hays State. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. MDT.
