COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The 70th episode of the RMAC Showcase, which will feature last month's conference Hall of Fame ceremony, will debut tomorrow night at 7 p.m. on the Altitude Sports & Entertainment Network. The ceremony featured two Western State individuals and the 1954 Mountaineer football team.
Regina Rhodes earned three national track and field titles and 21 conference championships, as well as the basketball career record for steals, for Western State from 1988-93. She was featured on Altitude last month as part of the “Altitude Sports Summit: All Sports Edition”.
Shane Carwin was the 1999 national heavyweight wrestling champion and earned two All-America football honors for the Mountaineers from 1993-99. He also holds a 12-1 record in the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
The 1954 football team went 10-0 and captured the first RMAC championship for Western State in any sport. The team featured a pair of All-Americans and finished No. 11 in national statistics for total offense.
