More Than 400 Go Through Crimson Camp

GUNNISON, Colo. – More than 400 wrestlers and coaches from 30 teams wrapped up competition and instruction yesterday in the conclusion of the Crimson Team Camp of the Rocky Mountain Wrestling Camps. The final camp of the year, the Slate Team Camp, checks in this afternoon.
Fort Collins High School was the team champion while Grandview High School, coached by Mountaineer alumus Greg Maestas, took runner-up honors. Tim Urenda of Pueblo South High School was selected as the Outstanding Wrestler by the team coaches.
The Rocky Mountain Wrestling Camps are the longest-running wrestling camps in the United States and are in their 48th year of operation. The camps started June 6 with the intensive and technique camps and wrap up June 20 with the Slate Camp.
