No. 12 Wrestling (6-5 / 3-2 RMAC)
-The Mountaineers close out the 2010 home schedule this week with Mesa State Wednesday and Colorado State-Pueblo Thursday.
-Western State has won 11 straight home duals since January 2009.
-Donovan McMahill has won six straight matches at 197 pounds and leads the team with 22 wins. He’s second on the team with five falls behind Zach Frazier’s six.
-The Mountaineers have won six straight against the Mavericks and lead the all-time series 21-19-1.
Women's Basketball (8-13 / 6-7 RMAC)
-Western State closes out the homestand against Mesa State Tuesday before a long trip to Western New Mexico Thursday.
-The Mountaineers hold a one-game lead against the Mavericks for fourth-place in the RMAC West Division.
-Western State beat both teams earlier this season by an average of 19.5 points.
-Amber Murray leads the RMAC West Division in scoring and leads both divisions with 11 20-point games this season.
Men's Basketball (5-15 / 2-11 RMAC)
-The Mountaineers look to even their home record Tuesday against Mesa State before the final long road trip of the season to Western New Mexico.
-Dan Hobin continues to lead the RMAC with a 90.8 free-throw percentage. He’s 59-of-65 at the line this season.
-Western State has won four straight games against Western New Mexico, including a 94-82 victory Jan. 30.
-Dan Biber has scored 10 or more points in the last six games and leads the Mountaineers with 12.8 points per game this season.
Men's Indoor Track and Field
-Western State will split their squads between the Grand Valley State Big Meet and the Air Force Invitational this weekend.
-The distance medley relay of Tyler Rasmussen, Andy Crook, Jerrett Swarr and Loren Ahonen provisionally qualified last weekend with the nation’s third-fastest time at 9:56.23 (altitude adjusted).
-Reger Craigo was the top Division II sprinter last weekend and lowered his 200-meter das time by nearly two-tenths of a second at the New Mexico Classic.
-Ryan Walstrom earned a provisional mark in the weight throw with 57-8 1/2 last weekend. He earned a provisional qualifying mark two weekends ago at Colorado Mines in the shot put.
Women's Indoor Track and Field
-The Mountaineers will send distance runners to the Grand Valley State Big Meet this weekend with the rest of the team heading to the Air Force Invitational.
-Hillory Davis, Katie Kielian, Rachel Webb and Sarah Lyle ran the eighth-fastest distance medley relay time this season with an altitude-adjusted time of 12:04.52 last weekend.
-Jesse Howe improved her pole vault mark to 10-8 last weekend and is third in the conference performance lists.
-The Mountaineers will be one of seven RMAC teams competing at the Air Force Academy this weekend.
