Western State College of Colorado

Western State Track and Field and Cross Country have been dominant in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference for decades.  The RMAC has honored Western State College by naming 8 athletes to the RMAC All Century Track and Field Team.  

RMAC All Century Team- Western State College Women:

Ermilinda Shehu-  Shehu was a four time National Champion in the Triple Jump, claiming the Indoor and Outdoor National Title's in 1996 and 1997.  Shehu is the school record holder in the triple jump at 42'7.50 feet and was inducted into the Mountaineer Hall of Fame in 2008.  

Jennifer Michel-  Michel was a three time National Champion and 8 time All American in Cross Country and Track and Field.  Michel is the school record holder in the 3,000 meter Steeple Chase in a time of 10:17.80.  Michel held the NCAA Division II National Record in the 3,000 meter Steeple Chase for seven years.  She is currently the Head Cross Country Coach at Western State College. 

Elva Dryer-  Dryer is a two time United States Olympian and was a seven time National Champion while running at Western State. Dryer claimed two individual Cross Country titles to go along with five National Championships on the track.  Dryer is the WSC school record holder in the 3,000 meters and 5,000 meters.

Regina Rhodes-  Rhodes was a three time National Champion from 1989 to 1991 in the Long Jump and Triple Jump.  Rhodes is the school record holder in the long jump with a best of 20'2 feet and has the second furthest Triple Jump in school history at 41'10 feet.  

Nicole Jefferson-  Jefferson was a three time National Champion from 1998-1999 in the mile and 3,000 meters.  Jefferson is the school record holder in the 800 meters at 2:07.51 and was a multiple time All American in Cross Country.

RMAC All Century Team- Western State College Men:

Michael Aish-  Aish is one of the most decorated athletes in RMAC history.  A 10 time National Champion on the track and two time National Champion on the Cross Country course, Aish is the most prolific athlete in Western State College history.  He owns school record's in the Mile, 3,000 meters, 5,000 meters and 10,000 meters.  

Philip Spratley-  Spratley was a two time All American for Western State from 1992 to 1996.  Spratley is ranked on the WSC All Time top ten list in five different distance disciplines.  

Stephen Willis-  The National Champion in the 1,500 meters in 1998, Willis was a six time All American while at WSC.  Willis is the indoor school record holder in the 800 meters (1:50.91) and outdoor record holder in the 1,500 meters (3:41.47).
