Western State College of Colorado

With Wednesday being National Signing Day for football, the Western State College football team has officially signed 27 student-athletes to play Mountaineer football next season.

The WSC coaching staff continued their emphasis of recruiting Colorado High Schools and are excited to blend and stack these incoming student-athletes with the two previous standout classes of recruits. This last season, there were more Colorado High School athletes on the Western State roster than any other football program in the country. 

"The quality of prospects that we've brought in speaks volumes about the future that we are building for our team here at Western State," stated head coach Pat Stewart. "The "blue chip" recruits that we have brought into this program will make an immediate impact for us on the field next fall. This is another phenomenal effort by Brenton Illum and the rest of the WSC Football staff in landing this exceptional group of men."

"We are able to address our needs in this recruiting class and will continue to build upon this initial group with some key additions in the coming weeks," said Assistant Coach and Defensive Coordinator Brenton Illum.
