Well, the season is already over. As a team we ended up 7-12 in conference this year, not exactly where we envisioned ourselves, but it takes time to build a team around a new staff. As with most things it takes patience, hard work, and a belief that you will get there. The hardest thing most of the time is the patience.
As a team we felt the growth that was made and how close we are to being a great team. There is always a roller coaster of emotions that you ride throughout a match, but every day we grow closer to riding the Disney ride, and not the Elitch ride, which will help us in achieving our goals.
We lose three seniors this year, which we will greatly miss. We will start the 2010 season with nine seniors leading the team into conference, along with a sophomore setter. We are looking forward to working hard in the offseason and coming back to finish business next year.
As the team moves through the offseason and we get closer to the spring practices, we believe in the motto:
Championship teams are built in the offseason
